the fork in the road page 3

the fork in the road page 3 by ric gustafson

The cab driver got out and pulled the four suitcases out of the trunk. The big blue suitcase was very heavy.  The driver put the suitcases on a wheeled cart.
" Thank you". Alvin gave him some money. He rolled the cart inside the terminal. He rolled it toward a check in area.
" We'll take those sir". a luggage searcher took the four suitcases and checked them in. An airline clerk started checking his ticket.
" Flying straight through to Bay River Florida".
" Yes".
The airline clerk put tags on the suitcases and put them on the conveyor belt.
" You're all set". Alvin was handed his ticket. " Gate 12".
" Thank you". Alvin hurried and got through the TSA checkpoint in short time. He bought a magazine and sat down to wait at his gate. He missed his wife already. It was because of her strong faith that he became a Christian. When it was time to board the plane, he was one of the first to board. When the aircraft lifted off the ground, Alvin began to pray for the safety of the aircraft and all those on board.
