The book of Philemon was written in 60-62 AD by Paul. The letter was written for Philemon. Philemon was a church leader in Colossae. Philemon was the owner of a slave named Onesimus. Onesimus met Paul and became a Christian. Paul asked Philemon to accept Onesimus as a dear brother not a slave.
Philemon 15-16 says no longer as a slave but better than a slave as a dear brother.
