The book of I Peter was written in 64-65 AD by Peter. This letter was written for Christians in Asia Minor. The purpose of the letter was to call Christians to holy living in the face of suffering. Peter encourages faithfulness and Christ like behavior even in the worst circumstances.
I Peter 1:15 says so be holy in all you do.
