down at the Witches Brew page 3

down at the Witches Brew page 3 by ric gustafson

She bent down and picked up the tarot cards from underneath the booth. A new customer was sitting across from her. She was frustrated. Every time she picked up the cards, they fell out of her hands unto the floor. Her cell phone rang. " Witches Brew". She listened. " Hello Martin". She stared at her new customer. " Are you sure you can't come".
Something about her new customer made her uneasy.
" Ok". She put down the phone. " I almost had him".
Jesus quietly shook his head. " You can't have him".
Right then, she recognized the new customer. " Nazarene".
Jesus put his scarred hands on the table. " He's confused but he believes in me".
She cackled. " No wonder I can't shuffle my cards".
Jesus stared at the witch. " Do not tempt him any longer".
She shook her black hair. " Suit yourself". She cackled. " There's always someone else". The front door bell rang. " See I told you". She stood up and walked toward the door. She turned to notice that the Nazarene had left.
There was a young woman in the doorway. She cackled. " Welcome to the Witches Brew".
