Lazarus stared at Martha as she vigorously sweeped the courtyard.
" Martha, it is just Jesus and his followers who are coming". He shook his head at his two sisters.
Later, Lazarus heard a knock at the back gate. He opened it to reveal the Rabbi and three of his followers.
Jesus, Matthew and Thomas greeted the three. Judas Iscariot just stood and did not greet them.
Later, Martha saw that Mary was sitting at Jesus's feet as he talked about prayer. She frowned as she walked back in to prepare the meal. She made fresh bread, a bowl of fresh beans and a bowl of olives. She made her usual lentil stew. She was hoping that her sister could help her put all the food on the courtyard table. She looked out again into the courtyard and noticed that her sister was again sitting at Jesus's feet listening to him. In frustration, she walked over and now stood in front of him.
" Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve you alone, please tell her to help me".
Jesus smiled at her. " Martha Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things". He smiled at Mary. " One thing is needed and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away".
