Martha heard the knock at the back gate. She opened it to reveal the Rabbi Jesus and three of his disciples.
" Greetings Martha" Jesus said as they walked into the courtyard. " You remember my friends Thomas, Judas son of James and John".
" Yes Rabbi I do".
Mary fetched a basin and some clean water to wash their feet.
" Thank you Mary" Jesus said with a loving smile after she had finished.
Lazarus walked into the courtyard and embraced Jesus. " Rabbi, I'm so sorry about your cousin John".
" Thank you my friend" Jesus replied as they entered the house and sat down on some cushions.
Young Judas and Thomas told Lazarus, Mary and Martha about their recent journey into Samaria. They told them about their encounter with the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well.
After two days, Jesus and his disciples left.
" We will come back at Passover".
