Women of the Bible: Lydia by ric gustafson
There was a woman named Lydia. She was a Gentile. She worshiped the God of Israel. In Philippi there were no synagogues. She met with a small group of women on the Sabbath to pray.
One day, God answered Lydia's prayers. According to Acts 16, Paul and Silas came to where Lydia and the other women were. Lydia listened to the Apostle and became the first convert in that area. She played a crucial role in the growth of the church in that area of the world.
Lydia was a woman of the Bible.
