Parables: the laborers in the vineyard by ric gustafson
This parable talks about that a crop is ready to harvest. In order to harvest, the vineyard needs workers. Yes some of the workers worked all day long. The workers were paid a wage that was agreed upon. They were not defrauded or treated unjustly. Later, more workers helped with the harvest. They were paid the same wage as the earlier workers.
Salvation can come to anyone at any time. It can be early in life or at the end of life. The landlord was generous. Jesus is generous that anyone at anytime can become one of his own and spend eternity with him. Praise God's name.
