John 1:29- ' Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world'
This term refers to God the Son. This name is only mentioned in the book of John. When John the Baptist saw Jesus approach him, he referred to Jesus as the Lamb of God. Lambs were sacrificed in burnt offerings and Jesus became a sacrifice for our sins.
Jesus as the Lamb of God sacrificed himself so we can live with him forever.
