Pastor Simpson quietly drank his coffee as the budget chairman read from his report.
" I have good news and bad news" Derick Jones said as he cleared his throat and began to read. " First of all, I don't know how it happened but church attendance is up 15%".
Pastor Simpson smiled as kept sipping his coffee.
" The bad news is even with the increased offerings, we are still way behind as far as our yearly budget".
After the meeting was over, frustration came over the Pastor's face as he walked back to his office. Sadly, he walked into his office and sat down in his chair. He stared at the lamp.
