Mark 6:3- ' Isn't this the Carpenter?'
This term refers to God the Son. Jesus's earthly father was a carpenter and that is where Jesus learned the same trade. In this passage from the Gospel of Mark, Jesus is teaching in the synagogue. The people were having trouble listening to Jesus as a teacher and not as a carpenter's son.
God came as his Son to be with us, the salt of the earth.
