Matthew 9:15- ' The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them'
This name refers to God the Son. Isaiah 62:5 tells Israel that as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you. In the book of Revelation, John describes Jesus as the Bridegroom who will return to claim his bride, the church. We can look forward to the wedding feast he has planned for us which will be intimate and eternal.
