John 6:35,48- ' I am the bread of life'
This name refers to God the Son. Bread was an important part of a Middle Eastern diet. After the miracle of the loaves and two fish, Jesus declared a new kind of bread. This new bread which was himself would sustain them for eternity.Some people left Jesus at that point but not the Twelve. Jesus asked them if they were leaving. Peter spoke up " Lord, to whom shall we go, you have the words of eternal life". I pray that we all stay and partake in the Bread of Life.
