Lent 2017: Psalm 4 by ric Gustafson
God desires a relationship with us. God's Word shows this over and over again. Starting with Adam and Eve. Through covenants, prophets, and leaders God reached out to people. In his Son Jesus God desires a relationship with us. God desires that we pray to him. In Psalm 4:3, the Lord will hear me when I cry out to him. God listens and answers our prayers.
When we pray, we are talking to God. In prayer, we seek God's help. We praise God in prayer of gratitude for blessings received. Prayer is our lifeline to God. Praise his name.
