Lent 2017: Genesis 12: 1-3 by ric Gustafson
In the passage for today, Abram and Sarai are called by God. They are asked to leave their country, their family and their home for a land that they will be shown. God tells them to leave everything and they do. God blessed them as a couple. God promised that they would be a blessing to others. God promised that all the families of the earth would be blessed because of them.
To be blessed, we need to do the will of God. God wants us to be models of faith. We need to do God's will, obey God's Word and seek God's glory. Praise God.
