Jesus Calling January 19 by ric Gustafson
Romans 8:1 says that in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. To the depths of our being, Jesus assures us his peace and his love. There will be voices of accusation but Jesus says do not listen to them. These voices of accusation are not from him. Jesus's Spirit does not convict us with words of shame. Jesus asks that his Spirit take charge of our minds and transform them by the truth.
The light of Jesus is shining upon us. Worries and fears interfere with Jesus's light. With Jesus dwelling in us, we are equipped to be holy. At all times, Jesus wants to be in charge of our thoughts, words and behavior.
