II Corinthians 4:17 says that our light and troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. In your Christian journey, there will be descents along with ascents. Our sinful urge is to take a shortcut. Jesus says to us not to do that. Our assignment is to follow Jesus and allow him to direct your path.
When things go wrong, we need to trust in Jesus. When we accept trials, God's blessings outweigh the trials. Jesus says hold my hand and he will lead us every day down the right path.
