The author of this book is the Apostle Paul. The date of the book is AD 55-57. Paul defends his ministry to the troubled church at Corinth. The things mentioned in Paul's first letter were addressed. But there were still some people who questioned his authority. Paul talks about in this letter the hardships he has had to face in his ministry. He talked about labours, prisons, a thorn in the flesh. Paul says to the church examine yourselves and prove your own selves. Paul never says what his thorn in the flesh is. Christians should respect authority.
