The author of this book is Habakkuk. This book was written around 600 BC. This book describes how you can trust God even when he seems unfair and unresponsive. At this time in Judah, there is a lot of violence and injustice among God's people. Habakkuk finds out that God is going to send the Chaldeans to punish Judah. Habakkuk tells God that the Chaldeans are worse than the disobedient Jews. Habakkuk questions God's ways. Like Job, Habakkuk submits to God's authority.
Our current world is full of violence and injustice. But the truth is God is still in control. God is working out his own purposes.
