The author of this book is the Apostle Paul. The book was written around AD 49. The book talks about how Christians can be free from restrictive Jewish laws. Paul has been writing to several regional churches. Galatian Christians had been turning from their freedom in Jesus back to their Old Testament Judaism. In chapter 3 of this book, Paul argues strongly that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God for the just shall live by faith. Old Testament rules don't control Christian lives. But God's spirit does. Chapter 5 of this book says walk in the Spirit.
