Lent 2021: a ransom for many by ric gustafson
Satan was defeated at the cross. According to Hebrews 2:14, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death that is the devil. Jesus was the payment there was no negotiation. The ransom was received by God. Jesus was the substitute on our behalf. We are freed from the condemnation of God. Jesus gave up his life in death. Jesus paid the price. He gave his life as a ransom for us.
