Rachel cried as Eliab carried Jared through the gate. She was overjoyed to see Mary walking behind him. " Eliab, you found Mary".
The burly slave put Jared on his bed.
Merab the faithhealer came over and examined Jared. " His stab wound is clean and no serious organs were involved". She smiled. " I think he will be alright".
Mary shivered in fright. " Mama, that man wanted to hurt me".
She held her daughter tight in her arms. " Mary, you are safe now".
That night as she slept, she woke up in a cold sweat from a nightmare.
