crimes of the century: The Boston Strangler

crimes of the century: The Boston Strangler by ric gustafson

In Boston during the summer of 1962, Anna Slesers aged 55 was murdered in her apartment. Thus began a 19 month killing spree. During that time period, at least 11 women were raped or murdered.
The murders stopped when a blue collar maintenance worker named Albert Desalvo was arrested. While locked up in prison, he confessed to the murders. He was sentenced to life in prison and six years later, was stabbed to death in the prison infirmary.
Fifty years after his death, his body was dug up and his DNA was extracted. His DNA matched that of victim Mary Sullivan.
The city of Boston was finally convinced that they had their man.

Peace and God's blessings. Love Ric
