The author of this book is the Apostle Paul. He was helped by Timothy. The book was written around the early 60's AD. The book is a friendship letter between Paul and a beloved church. Paul in this book talks about joy and rejoicing. This letter from Paul is upbeat. He thanks the church at Philippi for it's support. Paul encourages the people to rejoice in the Lord always and again. Unity is a common theme in Paul's letters. The peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
