room 110 page 1 by ric Gustafson
Gen George S Patton Jr opened his eyes. His wife Beatrice was sitting next to his bed crocheting. His upper body was in huge pain. He had been in a car accident twelve days before. His room at the hospital was only fourteen by sixteen feet. It contained only white walls and one high window.
White helmeted guards were outside the room. " Old Blood and Guts" had many enemies. His biggest enemy was his recovery. When his car collided with a truck full of soldiers, it left him paralyzed from the neck down. His spinal cord was bruised. The doctors were not sure if he would ever walk again.
It was a brutal auto accident. Stitches and bruises covered his head. Patton turned his head to see that his wife was still sitting next to him. Then he began to think about his life.
