I Samuel talks about a transition in Israel's history. God brought the prophet Samuel to help with this transition. In chapter 2 of this book, Hannah brings her infant son to be given to the Lord. She is fulfilling the vow she made and knows her son belongs to God.
Hannah gave up her son in service to the Lord. We are all called to humility and obedience.
