David knocked on the door. It opened to reveal his mother. She was wearing a very fancy floor length dress.
" Mother, here is our table seating schedule".
She put on a new red hat. " Is your new friend and her brother going to dine with us?".
" Yes they will". He took her arm. They walked down the hallway to the first class dining room. They walked in and found their table. The huge room contained alcoves and leaded windows. Each table had a white linen tablecloth and a glowing lamp in the middle.
At the end of their table sat a man and a woman. They introduced themselves as Benjamin Guggenheim and Kitty Webb.
David's mother smiled. " They are here".
David turned to see Charlene walk up to the table. She was wearing a full length satin blue dress. Her brother was wearing a fancy man's suit.
David pulled the chairs out for both women. They all sat down.
The other table guests began to arrive.
The last was a large man with brown eyes and a mustache. " Good evening, I'm Colonel Archibald Gracie".
