Lent 2014 day 14 by ric gustafson
Luke 8:28- ' Then he shouted " What have you to do with me Jesus Son of the Most High God?, I beg you don't torture me".
On the far side of the Sea of Galilee is a wild gentile area called the land of the Gerasenes. The land is full of tombs and feeding areas for swine. To Jews, it was an unclean defiled place. Roaming around the tombs was a crazy man. He was naked and lived among the dead.
Jesus found this man and confronted him. He knew who Jesus was and recognized his power. He knew he was unworthy and stood right in front of the Son of God.
No matter where we hide, Jesus will find us. We can try to shrink away from him but he will always show mercy to us. Jesus shows grace to everyone even the most unworthy.
