The Passion 2013: Malchus's ear by ric gustafson
Flavius Artemis pointed to a nearby soldier. " Bring some rope".
Just then, Peter took a small sword from beneath his garment. He swung wildly and struck the ear of a nearby servant.
Malchus fell to the ground as blood gushed from his torn ear.
Jesus gave Peter a stern look. " Put away your sword". He quickly knelt down and restored the ear. " Now is not the time for battle but for the cup". He stood up and looked at the crowd. " You come searching for me but I openly taught in the Temple". He stared at Flavius. " Why did you not arrest me then?".
All the disciples then ran off into the night. The last was a small boy named John Mark.
Jesus was bound by rope and led away.
