To the Romans, being at the top of the pecking order was very important. Jesus had a different view of the pecking order. Jesus said whoever wants to be first must be your servant. As a servant, Jesus washed the disciples feet. Jesus sat at a table in the back not the head table. Jesus humbled himself and became a servant. Jesus came in swaddling clothes. He leaves as a servant.
Jesus loves us more than anything else.
