We have love for spouses. We have love for children. We have love for parents. We have love for friends. This love is based on who they are, what they mean to us and how they make us feel.
As God's people, we have a deeper and uncondtional love for the cross. The cross loves at all times. The cross loves all things. God wants us to love the ungrateful, the unjust, the lonely and the unloved. Romans 12 says that we should be devoted to one another and serve the Lord.
Jesus loves us more than anything else.
