Beatle songs: Hey Jude by ric gustafson
Paul enjoyed spending time with John's son Julian. One day, he drove down to Weybridge to give him and his mother Cynthia some comfort. She and John had started divorce proceedings. As he drove, a song began to form in Paul's head. He thought of lyrics about comfort and reassurance. He thought ' Hey Jules' would be a good title for the song he was developing in his head.
Later, Paul changed the title to ' Hey Jude'.
The song was released in August of 1968.
It was number one in England and the US.
