Sarah could not give Abraham an heir. She persuaded her husband to father a child with their slave named Hagar. Ishmael is born. At age 90, Sarah gives birth to Isaac. One day, Abraham is instructed to take his son to the top of Mount Moriah. He was going to sacrifice his son per God's instructions. At the last moment, God stops him. A ram was sacrificed instead.
