The Jews were not looking for someone to save them who was meek and mild. They did not want a pacifist king. The truth is Jesus is a warrior. His enemies are Satan and death. Jesus came to wage war against sin and death. Jesus is also a captain of of Christian warriors. This is to give us victory over temptation and sin. Jesus is gentle with us. He has no mercy on those who seek our destruction.
Jesus loves us more than anything else. Praise God's name.
