people in the Bible: Joseph of Arimathea by ric Gustafson
There was a man named Joseph. He was a wealthy man from Arimathea. This was a town northwest of Jerusalem. His life was shaped by his religion. He was selected to join the Sanhedrin. This was the religious court of Judaism. Somehow, he encountered Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus's crucifixion changed his life forever. He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. He took his body and placed it in his family's tomb.
I pray that we can tell openly that we are followers of Jesus. Praise God.
