David and his mother listened as the ship's anchors dropped into place.
Camille looked at her son. " Who were you spending time with?".
They were standing by the railing. They saw a gangplank being set up.
" Her name is Charlene Moton". They watched as a ferry approached to dock.
" Is she a nice girl?".
They watched as well dressed passengers walked off the ferry. They entered the ship.
" She seems nice". They heard the ship's horn blast. " I wonder who those passengers are?".
" I heard that it is a ferry from Cherbourg". She smiled. " Are you going to see her again?".
" Actually, she invited you and I to join her and her brother for dinner tonight".
" What did you tell her?".
" I told her I would ask you first".
She smiled and put a hand on her son's shoulder.
" David, tell her that we would love to".
" Ok".
