Rules and commands are found throughout God's Word. God teaches us what is good because he is good. He teaches us what is wrong and sinful. God gave us the Law called the Ten Commandments. Obeying God's commands are rooted in Jesus and the gospel. These rules and instructions teach us how to live as God's people. Instead of our sins, God looks at his Son's perfect life. He sees his Son's righteousness not our sin.
Limits and boundaries are a good thing. We are all sinners. God gives us rules in his Word. These rules are for our good. When we obey them, we glorify God.
