At the time the Apostle Paul was writing this, he was in prison. He was writing this to the young church in Philippi. He loved this young church and they were a support system for him. He was basically telling this church not to worry. He encouraged them to pray and get peace from Jesus. He told them to be thankful to God and not to worry or have stress. We need the same encouragement.
