Jesse yawned. He took a sip of coffee. " What were your observations of the disciples?".
" The first one I studied was Simon".
" Who later became Peter". He took another sip of coffee. " Why was he first?".
" He was quick with his opinion and to me wanted to be the leader of the group".
" Who else did you study?".
" I studied a tax collector named Matthew and someone named Thomas".
" Doubting Thomas".
He cackled. " Because of his pessimism, I had high hopes for him".
" Anyone else?".
The voice cackled again. " The others were content to just follow that moron".
Jesse took a sip of his coffee. " How did you happen to choose Judas Iscariot?".
" He was quiet and seemed disturbed about events going on".
" He was in charge of the group's money purse".
" Because he loved money". The voice hesitated. " I was able to put the idea into his troubled mind of selling his Master for a price".
" Which he did".
" Yes".
