Before Jesus was in the wilderness for forty days, he was baptized by John in the Jordan river. As a Christian, we think about death and new life. According to Romans 6:4, we were buried with him through baptism into his death. Jesus wants us to dying to ourselves and rising to a new life in Jesus.
