Eamon took the denarius that was in his hand and showed it to Jesus.
" Who's inscription is on it?".
The two stared at each other. " Caesar's".
" Then give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's".
Jesus sat down with his followers.
Eamon walked away.
Tears began to form in Julius's eyes. He walked up to Jesus. " I'm sorry, we tried to trick you".
" I know". Jesus got up and hugged the young man. " Go and tell Caiaphas your faith has saved you".
Julius walked alone into Caiaphas's court and noticed the Chief Priest and his servant Malchus sitting at a table.
" Back so soon" Caiaphas said with a grin. " Were you able to trick him?".
" No". Julius threw his wages at the Chief Priest's feet. " I will not try to trick an innocent man".
Caiaphas frowned. " What does that have to do with me?".
" For you nothing" the young man said as he walked toward the door. " For me everything".
