Eamon took the denarius that was in his hand and showed it to the Rabbi.
" Whose inscription is on it?.
The two looked at each other. " Caesar's".
" Then give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's".
Jesus sat down again with his followers.
Eamon walked away but tears began to form in Julius's eyes. He walked up to Jesus. " I'm sorry, we tried to trick you".
" I know" Jesus quietly replied as he stood up and hugged the young man." Go and tell Caiaphas your faith has saved you".
Julius walked into Caiaphas's court alone and saw the Chief Priest and Malchus his servant sitting at a table.
" Back so soon" he said with a grin. " Were you able to trick him?".
" No!". Julius threw his wages at Caiaphas's feet. " I will not try to trick an innocent man".
Caiaphas frowned. " What does that have to do with me?".
" For you nothing" Julius said as he walked toward the door. " For me everything".
Peace and God's blessings. Love Ric
