the story of Martha page 25

the story of Martha page 25 by ric gustafson

Martha and Mary stood by a pillar as Jesus turned over the moneychangers tables and stopped their business. After all the commotion was over, Martha observed Judas Iscariot at the far end of the courtyard talking to a scribe. Something about that man scares me she thought as she began to shiver from fright.
Jesus began to talk to those who were still in the courtyard of the Temple. " A man planted a vineyard, leased it and then went to a far country". Martha began to listen closely. " At vintage time he sent a servant and the vinedressers beat him and sent him away empty handed along with a second and a third". " So the owner decided to send his own son and when the vinedressers saw him they killed him". " What do you think the owner of the vineyard would do?".
" We don't know" yelled a priest.
" The owner of the vineyard would destroy the vinedressers and give the vineyard to others".
" No" cried the crowd.
" The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone".
