Pilate was talking to the officer on watch when there was a knock.
" Enter".
Cassius quietly entered and then saluted.
" Do you have a report centurion?".
" Yes my Prefect". Cassius hesitated to organize his thoughts. " I report a short skirmish with the outlaw Bar Abbas".
Pilate listened intently to the young soldier. In six short months, the young man had progressed from a slave to a centurion in his Italican Cohort. " Losses?".
" Four dead, nine wounded and eight prisoners including two of Bar Abbas's right hand men".
" Centurion, were you sure it was Bar Abbas?".
" I took a good look at him" Cassius said with a smirk. " A tall man with a red beard and a deep scar over one eye".
" Thank you for the report Centurion".
