Jesus: through the Wilderness by ric gustafson
The Wilderness is a tough place. There is parched ground, sharp rocks, thorns and burning sun. There is also a Wilderness of the soul. There is parched promises, sharp words and burning anger. Jesus knows about both of them. He was tempted by Satan for forty days. Jesus went toe to toe with Satan.
God says heed to my voice. Trust his voice. Trust his Word. Don't trust your emotions. God's Son needs to be our model. Jesus's weapon against Satan was God's Word. It needs to be ours also.
Praise Jesus's name.
