The Lawrence Welk Show was on ABC from the 1950's through the 1970's. He tried to keep his show strait laced and honest. Wunnerful Wunnerful was his catch phrase. The show started in 1951and focused on standards, polka and novelty songs. /With a mostly older audience, the show ended in 1982. Lawrence Welk died in May of 1992.
