We are called. We have been called personally by God and to God. This is personal because God uses our name. According to Isaiah 43, I have called you by your name you are mine. Jesus as the Good Shepherd calls his sheep by name. According to Romans 8, we are called according to his purpose. God wants us to have an intimate relationship with him. We are called by God because we were chosen by God. Ephesians 4 says lead a life worthy of your calling for you have been called by God.
