There are many different pizza styles. California style is thin crust with local fresh toppings. ST Louis style is thin crust and cut into rectangles. Chicago style is deep dish, stuffed, pan or tavern thin. Detroit style is rectangular and thick. Old Forge style comes in red or white. New Haven style is white clam pie. French bread combined pizza sauce, cheese and toppings. Pesto is crushed garlic, pine nuts and grated hard cheese.
Fried pizza could be ricotta and pork fat. Neapolitan pizza could be margherita, margherita extra or marinara. Roman style could be pizzetta, pizza con funghi or pizza margherita alla pala. Sicilian could be pan pizza similar to focaccia. Bianca could be olive oil and salt.
