Jesus stood up and walked to the podium. He took a sip of bottled water that was sitting nearby. He waited until the applause died down.
" Welcome to the 2018 Hebrews 11 appreciation banquet". He smiled. " Michael is watching the door so we will begin".
" Our first man of faith tonight offered to my Father a more acceptable sacrifice than his brother".
Jesus smiled. " He has been commended as righteous". His voice hesitated. " My Father commended him by accepting his gifts".
Jesus smiled at the man. " And through his faith though he died he still speaks".
Jesus walked over to the man. " Abel, please stand up". He hugged him. " My Father and I love you".
