biblical finds: David's stone slab by ric Gustafson
King David was the son of Jesse and the youngest of eight brothers. He was a shepherd by trade and defeated Goliath. The prophet Samuel anointed him as king. David had eight wives. According to Acts 13:22, David was a man after God's own heart. In 1993, a basalt stone slab was discovered in the Golan Heights. On the slab was the inscription ' the House of David'. The stone slab now resides at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
